A CHARITY shop has thanked supporters after a successful event to fight loneliness.
Age UK staff in Accrington held a special ‘feel good day’ to raise awareness of social isolation.
Crowds gathered at the Whalley Road store, where there was live music, nibbles, and fun events.
Shop manager Tasneem Khamker also handed out free hugs.
She said: “I want to say a big thanks to all my staff, and to customers for making the ‘feel good day’ a success.
“I would like to send an extra-special thanks to the Beauty Emporium, in Accrington, who donated a raffle prize, and to Deborah, at Mannings Bakery, for making, and donating, a special cake for the day.”
