LANCASHIRE residents have been thanked by British Heart Foundation shops after helping turn their unwanted bags, boots and beds into lifesaving equipment, including 300 defibrillators for the county.
Volunteering hours, donations and purchases have helped raise £1.8 million in the last year.
Julie Clegg, area manager, said: “The generosity of people in the Lancashire area has been astonishing and we want to thank every person who has joined the fight against heart disease."
