A YOUNG chorister has been with the Halle Children’s Choir.
Haslingden High School pupil Alice Harding, 13, auditioned to be part of the Manchester-based music group last year and has been hitting the high note with them since.
She said: “I did a school performance in my final year at Helmshore Primary School when I was a main character and I had solos to sing.
“My friend was already in the Halle Children’s Choir and she encouraged me go and audition.”
There are more than 80 youngsters in the choir and one of their highlights this year was singing in a concert to celebrate the opening of the Halle’s new rehearsal venue in front of the Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward’s wife Sophie.
