LEADERSHIP students from St Mary's College in Blackburn used their newly gained management skills to organise a summer fair in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Armed with cakes, face paints and hula hoops, they entertained children and fed parents with home-baking to raise money for the charity.
Beth Cavill, 18, said: “My dad was diagnosed with MS approximately three years ago.
“At the time of his diagnosis I knew very little about the disease, other than it had no cure.
“The charity event that we organised in our leadership course was very important to me, as it was an additional opportunity to attempt to make people more aware of the disease, and to raise important money for the MS Society, to help people who have the disease, and to contribute to the search for a cure.”
