A CHARITY cricket match will be held on Friday between Colne CC and 9 Regiment Army Air Corps to raise money for Help for Heroes.
The match takes place at the Horsfield ground from 6pm.
Afterwards there will be entertainment in the clubhouse from local band Crash, and Colne singer Russell Shaun. Entry to the match costs £2.
Jane Williamson, chairwoman at Colne CC, said: “Our Armed Forces do a great job serving our country, and as a club we are proud to be able to support them by raising funds for injured servicemen and women.
“Colne will be in for a tough battle against a military team whose job it is to go out and fight, but it should make for a great game.
“The event has been organised by Philip Chester, a Colne CC member who is currently servicing with 9 Regiment Army Air Corps and we’re proud of him and his efforts.”
