A ‘MESSY church’ event at Holy Trinity, in Colne, has been hailed a success with more than 80 people attending.
Lynne Mitchell, parish development worker, said: “The session was absolutely brilliant – adults and children making sheep, masks, biscuits and collages and taking them into church for a very lively and interactive service, topped off by sitting down together to share food.
“It was a real community atmosphere.”
During the service, members of the Holy Trinity Junior Club were presented with certificates and crosses for their achievement during the year.
The junior club meets at Holy Trinity Community Centre, in Tatton Street, every Friday evening from 5.15 to 6.15pm.
The next ‘messy church’ service will take place in October.
