THE first Blackburn Canal Festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Eanam Wharf, Blackburn from 10am. The event aims to celebrate the history of the Leeds Liverpool Canal and the importance that Eanam Wharf played in the development of Blackburn. The weekend will include dance, music, drama and face painting. Admission is free and it will be open until 5pm each day.
