MALL staff and passers-by went to the rescue after an elderly lady fainted in Blackburn.
As temperatures soared in the town centre, a woman fainted at Ainsworth Street bus stops, near Blackburn Post Office, at 10.30am on Friday.
As a man and woman who were passing prevented her from falling into the street, a Mall cleaner went into the building to find a first aider.
Post Office staff also came out and provided the woman with a chair. Loraine Jones, general manager at The Mall, said: “A member of The Mall’s staff called for immediate first aid assistance from our security team. Both team members waited with the woman until she was in the ambulance, and called her son to let him know what had happened.”
