PUPILS at Avondale Primary School, Darwen, came 40th out of 313 schools nationwide in an online maths challenge.
The school took part in ‘SumDog’, with 262 pupils answering 94,838 questions correctly. Nationwide, 21,407 pupils answered 5,858,245 questions. One Avondale pupil came 101st out of all those across the country, and 21 were in the top 1,000.
