THE police’s Eastern Division, which covers Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley, has revealed its ‘high impact acquisitive crime’ figures for last week.
There was a four per cent decline in offences on last year, but vehicle crimes were still prominent. There were 87 offences in all: 18 burglaries, 15 thefts of vehicles, 49 thefts from vehicles and four robberies.
In Blackburn, the 46 offences included 30 thefts from vehicles, with seven in Darwen, 28 in Hyndburn and six in the Ribble Valley.
The figures released via the police’s ‘In The Know’ service, are emailed and texted to subscribers.
