RESIDENTS at Addison Court care home, Accrington, enjoyed a nostalgic afternoon thanks to wartime vocal troop, Land Girls.
The singers perform in community settings to raise money for the Sue Ryder charity. They serenaded residents with ‘hits from The Blitz’.
Sue Ryder is a charity that supports people living with incurable illnesses and provides end-of-life care. Anne-Marie Potter, Home Manager at Addison Court, said: “Residents thoroughly enjoyed the Land Girls’ performance and many joined in the songs.”
Emma Russ, Sue Ryder Regional Fundraiser, said: “It's fantastic to have the Land Girls perform at Addison Court and support the work the home is undertaking.”
