A TOURNAMENT in memory of a Colne crown green bowls player who died in a car crash will take place over the next month.
The Philip Wright Memorial Doubles Competition was launched in 2010 by Philip’s dad, Daryl.
Philip Wright, 25, lifeguard Tom Petty, 25, and his girlfriend Jessica Foxley, 21, were killed when their car hit a wall in Skipton Old Road, Colne, in July 2009.
Tom and Philip both worked for Pendle Leisure Trust and played football for Pendle Athletic in their spare time.
First and second rounds will be played at Colne Cricket and Bowling Club on Sundays, June 30 and July 7, starting from 6pm, with Finals Day on July 14 from 5pm.
