THE next lecture in the series organised by the Burnley district of Lancashire County Library Service is ‘An Evening with Alfred Wainwright’, to be given by John Burland.
Mr Burland, founder member of the Wainwright Society, will present a lecture on the life and works of the Lakes enthusiast and author, from his humble Blackburn upbringing to his life in the Lake District.
The talk is at Burnley Mechanics on Monday, January 28, from 7.30pm. Entry costs £2.
