HUNDREDS of visitors descended on Clitheroe to enjoy a medieval themed afternoon.
The event featured costumed characters and medieval themed activities.
Lord and Lady de Lacy, ancestral owners of the castle, welcomed visitors to activities such as medieval food tasting, quill writing, story telling, dressing up a medieval game.Rachel Jackson, Clitheroe Museum manager, said: “It was a fabulous event giving visitors the chance to have a taste of medieval life.
“The de Lacys held the great northern Lordship of Bowland until 1399, so it was lovely to have staff playing the parts of Lord and Lady de Lacy and welcoming visitors."
