Do you have a loveable pooch that is less than blessed in the looks department? Owners of ugly dogs have been invited to enter a national competition to find the ugliest dog in Britain for 2024.
You might remember last yearâs competition with the winner later becoming a Hollywood star.
Peggy the Pugese starred in the new Deadpool & Wolverine film this summer, starring as Dogpool and becoming Ryan Reynoldsâ sidekick.
The competition is run by photography company ParrotPrint.com and it is asking dog owners to send in a photo of their ugly pets in an attempt to find the next dog superstar.

The organisers claim the contest sets out to celebrate the diversity of Britainâs beloved pooches by finding the pet with a face only a dog mummy or daddy could love.
How to enter the competition
Dog owners are being asked to apply for the competition only if they truly believe their pets to be visually challenging and that they have a chance at taking Peggyâs crown.
The winner will receive a professional doggie makeover and photo shoot and who knows, maybe theyâll get the opportunity to star in a blockbuster movie.
Applications can be sent to uglydog@parrotprint.com and all dog owners need to do is send a photo of their ugly dog to enter. Find out more about the competition via the ParrotPrint website.
12 shortlisted dogs will be announced in October with a winner being selected before Christmas.
A spokesman said: âWe received too many photos of cute mutts last year and this time around we want to see more dogs of Peggyâs calibre.

âBritain is a nation of dog lovers so it was perhaps unsurprising we received so many pictures of pretty pooches.
âThere are some unique-looking dogs out there, and it is those pets that stand out from the crowd and make you look twice that we want to see this year.â
The spokesman shared their thoughts on Peggy becoming Dogpool: âWhen we launched the competition over a year ago we never would have believed our winner would become a superhero and Hollywood star known worldwide.
âLast year's competition set the bar so high and weâd love to surpass it if we can by giving one lucky dog the pamper session of a lifetime and perhaps even make them a superstar.
âWe canât stress enough though, that itâs an ugly dog competition so only the ugliest mutts need to apply.
âAs Ryan Reynolds admitted on Jimmy Kimmel Live when Hugh Jackman asked him about Peggy winning our ugliest dog competition - âBoy she earned itâ.

âSo we are asking Britainâs dog owners to only send us pictures of the most unphotogenic pooches and we canât wait to reveal the finalists soon.â
Commenting on the competition, Peggyâs owner Holly Middleton assured this yearâs entrants that she wouldnât be entering this year after a busy schedule of filming, red carpet walks and movie premieres.
She said: âThere are no plans to enter Peggy into any future competitions, sheâs having some well-deserved downtime.
âPeggy is back home now and living her normal life - she does get more attention when sheâs out and about which I'm sure she enjoys.
âWinning Britainâs ugliest dog competition has taken us on a crazy adventure full of a whole range of emotions and Iâm excited to see what is in store for this year's winner.â
