I have recently been to your wonderful country and one of the beautiful towns I visited was Whalley.

It was to my sadness that I heard the beautiful village you have there shall very soon become a massive over-populated metropolis.

Why do you want to destroy such an outstand-ing typical English village?

This is what we as visitors to your country save all our lives for, to see such places as Whalley.

You wish to turn all of the land around your village into housing estates – thousands of homes.

All I can say is I am glad I am not a local and have all of this imposed on me.

I heard in a hotel about locals petitioning to keep their village just as it is, plus other villages in the near proximity of Whalley which shall also suffer the same fate.

When will councils ever learn? You are destoying everything Whalley stands for. If the locals of Whalley wanted life in a city, they would have moved years ago, but now you are giving them no choice at all.
