I am sorry but I do not like the new market.
It is just another floor to the Mall, and more or less a market hall.
It is impersonal and clinical looking with all the stainless steel (I know this is for hygiene purposes).
I also think there is no atmosphere.
And is the ceiling finished off? It looks like a warehouse ceiling. Are we to see pipe-work covered in a sort of tin foil all the time?
Maybe the market looks like a hive of activity with plenty of shoppers, but that is because people are coming for a look because it is new.
Will we see the same shoppers six months down the line?
In my opinion, Blackburn has lost its market H Hamer, Blackburn.
