AN old British soldier who grew up in the North West wonders if he has any relatives still here.
George Mason was born on September 10, 1926 to Harry and Mary Mason (nee Burns).
He had brothers Harry and Edward, and sisters Veronica who married a Conroy, and Mary who married a Taylor.
At one time they lived at 13 Herbert Street, Burnley.
George now lives alone in a flat in an aged comm-unity in Christchurch, New Zealand.
With the trauma of the recent spate of earth-quakes I think he is thinking of his family back home more and more.
