WITH reference to the use of silicone chips by Hyndburn Council to monitor what is put out in our household rubbish, how will Hyndburn Council know who has put the rubbish in the bin in the first place?

Will it be CCTV next?

I put my black bin out on Monday night for collection on Tuesday morning.

The bin is half full Monday night, but by Tuesday morning it is full to overflowing.

If as much effort were put into keeping the drains clean, I for one would be a much happier person.

I have lived in my present home for 21 years and in all that time the drain outside my front door has not been cleaned.

Several weeks ago and after many phone calls to various departments, during which time I had to listen to recorded messages, I finally got through to a human being who took my particulars and gave me an official number, proving that my complaint was being attended to.

Has my' drain been cleaned? No it has not. Has any official been to check?

No they have not. Goodness knows how much the phone calls have cost me.

I am beginning to wonder if I should be on the pay roll at Hyndburn Council.

Or perhaps I should claim expenses.
