Samaritans of Blackburn with Darwen, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley would once again like to express our thanks to Marks and Spencer’s Blackburn for allowing us to carry out bag packing at their store on the 17th and 18th of June 2011.
The generosity of their customers was once again outstanding. The amount raised was £1065.37. We would also like to thank the ladies on the checkout for their help during the two days.
Fundraising is essential to the upkeep of our branch and it also helps build our profile and relationship with the local community.
These collections help Samaritans continue to give emotional support to people who are in despair, distress, and who may even consider taking their own lives.
Michael Walmsley, Publicity & Fundraising Officer.
