WE went to war in 1914, a war to end all wars, but we went to war again in 1945 to get rid of dictators, free people in prison camps and give people a chance of forming a democracy.

But what have we ended up with? Several dictators.

The Prime Minister, the Health Minister and the Department of Health have all written to me saying they have given the Health Service more money and provided more staff than ever this year.

This raises several questions. The health service is top heavy, too many chiefs.

Has it been "jobs for the boys" political appointments?

And the new schools don't improve education, its super teachers who do that.

Then there is one law for the public and one for the Labour Party.

This is shown by building on "greenfield" sites which would be refused if a private firm applied to do this.

Then there is the fire service. A large empty nursing home at Reedley was on fire and fire crews came from Blackburn and Preston.

And at a fire at a house in Burnley and the crew came from Penwortham.

What would have happened if people were in the building?

And why do what Blackpool and Lancaster have done - dump Lancashire County Council and save the people a lot of money.
