MANY opinions have been voiced in your paper regarding capital punishment.
Surely, men such as Sutcliffe, Brady, Nielsen and such like do not deserve the right to live.
No-one wants to see innocent people put to death by the state, but please give this a little thought: if the men responsible for the Dunblane massacre, the recent killings in Cumbria last year and the Hungerford massacre over 20 years ago had not shot themselves, we would now be paying for their keep in jail.
They killed more innocent men, women and children than the state ever will.
P Young, Blackburn.
