I would like to comment on the pensions issue and how it affects all of us who are expected to live longer than our predecessors.

I think that state pensions should go higher without the need to ‘means test’ the individuals and explore what’s in their bank accounts.

Unlike the government, the humble pensioner doesn’t have access to gold reserves to fall back on or a vintage wine cellar paid for at the tax payers’ expense.
