Wilpshire is not the only area to suffer from the BB1 postcode.
We live in Guide at the edge of the Blackburn/ Hyndburn border and a long way from the notorious high-risk areas, yet we too have a BB1 code.
If the insurance companies can’t be more specific they shouldn’t use postcodes to assess risk.
Royal Mail shouldn’'t have to change their codes just because of lazy insurers.
Nigel Evans would be better to join forces with Jack Straw who is working on this issue from the angle of the insurance companies.
