I AM utterly horrified and very upset at the state of Blackburn Market, or what it is to become in the very near future.
What are these councillors who are supposed to look after this town getting up to?
I have lived in Blackburn all my life and that is a lot longer than any of the town councillors.
Every week another stall has disappeared either gone to Accrington, Darwen, retired or just gone.
The latest culprit is our great Market Garden Stall that is off to Darwen.
I know we are losing the cheese stall, many butchers have or are going, and there is no more fish market.
A week or so ago someone had the cheek to brag about how our market would be when it had moved across the road.
I am sick and tired of hearing people moan and groan – can someone please tell us, the people of Blackburn who have shopped on that market for 30, 40 or 50 years, what is happening?
