AS has been reported, Eid celebrations have been marred by loutish behaviour in Blackburn with the police having to intervene.
During Eid prayers every year, Muslims are reminded about the manner of celebration with emphasis on family and relations being central.
Despite this, flags, cars and horns had cheapened the value of Eid anyway and in a culture obsessed with personal status, the running riot on the holy day has cut an impression of Muslims.
These street scenes are alien behaviour to Muslims and it amounts to a loss of the faith.
