I TRAVEL over Haslingden Grane daily and it seems that some lorry drivers need to take an eye test, and for the sake of other innocent drivers, perhaps be given a white stick and subsequently removed from the roads.
The reason is they seem oblivious to the signs banning them from using the "rat run".
I know it allows for access only to vehicles of this size, but the driver I followed who used it as a short cut from Haslingden to the M65 at the end of the Grane is taking the word access the wrong way.
A one-off I can accept, but it happens daily. The police should think of the amount of funds they could bring in. Tempting isn't it?
