THE story (LET May 13) We're Licked,' really made me angry.
We have always had ice-cream sellers on our streets, before the vans we had horse drawn carts.
But now they could go out of business because it will be illegal to trade near school gates between the hours of midday and 5pm.
But the government has got it wrong. Where it should start is with parents, they are the ones who allow their children to eat junk food.
Law-makers should also be looking at well known fast food outlets which should be made to serve healthier food, instead of burgers, chips, fizzy drinks etc.
In the 1950s you didn't see many obese children because we didn't have these fast food giants.
So let's get it right and start with the parents, then fast food giants and leave the little man alone.
(Other than advising them how to improve on what they are selling to fight child obesity).
After all, they are only trying to make a living.
