TO the people of Fernhurst ward, Blackburn, please accept my belated thanks for support during the last local elections.
It was a privilege and an honour to serve as a Conservative councillor for the past two years.
The ward still has two stalwart Conservative councillors, John and Jacquie Slater.
Their values and beliefs are open for scrutiny, and they stand by them, and also by constituents.
I have enjoyed the challenges of the last two years, and more so, the contact that I have had with people in the ward.
I wish every one of them, regardless of political leanings, the very best for the future.
One thing I am completely certain about is that their future could not be in better hands than those of John and Jacquie, and although no longer a councillor, I will still invest whatever time is required, to assist them in the support and development of the ward, regardless of where I actually live.
PAUL RASETA, Broadhead Road, Edgworth.
