I AM not sure if others share my concern. We were all made well aware of the row in the council over the Iraq war.
Though I feel that all people, including our politicians, are fully entitled to express their views, what I found childish is that some went independent to make their stance.
Worse still, after going independent to show their opposition to the war, these same politicians are now standing again for Labour. What has changed? Labour policy on the war certainly has not.
Such leaders are playing dirty politics as they know that as independent candidates they will not get voted in so they are using Labour to get in. What surprises me is that such candidates are allowed to stand for Labour.
My message to these candidates is, if you go independent then stand as independent, stop fooling the voters and decide what party you are with.
