WHILE watching a TV programme about binge drinking, I was horrified to learn the practice was common behaviour to a large percentage of youngsters, many as young as 13.
Apparently they got their kicks absorbing endless amounts of booze until they were blotto. These children said they did it for kicks.
They swanked about living on the DHSS, much of it going on drink. Of course, they were under age, but there was plenty of help available.
Their main aim seemed to be abusing and annoying their neighbours, avoiding the real world all together, or vomiting from flat windows on to passers-by.
The parents often know, but can't control their offspring.
So what is the answer? The do- gooders will say talk to them, give them a slap on the wrist. I say police should do their duty.
