GIVEN the amount of information available on the internet, books, audio tape, computers etc, try to envisage a world without formal education.
That is, no schools, no teachers, no universities, no billion pound budgets.
The intelligent would self educate, the unintelligent would muddle along, happy in their ignorance.
A sort of educational natural selection. All that money and time saved on staff, equipment and buildings.
Would we be any worse off?
D PRATT (Mr), Plantation Street, Accrington.
