THE only pension any MP should get is the basic minimum (fully paid up) OAP (and not a penny more) pension.
There is no reason why, given pay and expenses for MPs, they can't buy their own additional private pensions if they so wish.
It would do much to bring MPs and the public closer and partly deflate the nest feathering' aspect of suspicions that exists.
