Another outlandish law has been passed where young girls under 16 do not need their parents' permission to have an abortion.

Some of these children are immature. Not only that, after such a procedure, even though they don't realise it at the time, they need a lot of parental support.

At this time they would certainly need a loving family beside them, who could bring them back to some sort of normality. At 16 I needed both my parents to guide me on personal issues.

These types of traumas are not easily forgotten and in most cases after the experience of abortion, they wouldn't want to repeat it.

With all good will in the world, a family doctor, nurse or adviser does not wholly take the place of loving family members.

Both are required for very different reasons.
