WHILST I applaud the actions of dog walkers who clean up dog mess I would like to point out that the used plastic bag should then be binned either at home or in a disposal box.
Some owners deposit bags in bushes or hedges where they will remain. Do they know a plastic bag takes 500 years to decay?
They are not decorative and the dog faeces will still be there long after dog and owner have left this planet.
There is a firm that manufactures an adequate scoop made from brown paper and cardboard. Morrisons used to stock them and they had the logo "I love my dog". As these will decompose they are much more friendly to the environment. They are available on the internet and quite cheap to purchase.
