IN response to Blackburn Council's decision to increase parking charges by 28 per cent.
I would like to give a new definition on the word extravagance; that being to actually pay anything at all to park in this third rate, dirty, badly planned, architecturally abysmal town that has nothing going for it at all and that includes our so-called council.
I would suggest that our councillors consider giving out free shopping vouchers to anyone who is prepared to visit the town centre shopping mall more than six times in a year and free consultations with a nominated psychiatrist for anyone suffering depression after visiting the town!
