I MUST express my disappointment at the attitude of both Blackburn Transport and Blackburn Borough Council with regard to the bus services.
Firstly the withdrawal of the Blackburn outer circle routes 5a and 5c and now the threat of the withdrawal of Route 21, both these bus routes overlap at some stage.
If these proposals go ahead, do both the council and the bus company realise the extreme hardship and difficulty existing customers will experience in getting to both school and work?
I always thought it was the duty of the council to provide the council tax payers with an adequate bus service.
Before we talk about the possibility of new park and ride services should we not provide a basic bus service for the people who do not have their own transport and rely on public transport?
