FURTHER to the story (LET, December 29) my experience in reporting potholes in the stretch of Parsonage Road, Blackburn, leading from Whalley New Road to the New Inns public house was completely different to that of Mr Steve Catterall.
In early June of this year had occasion to write to Lancashire County Council complaining about the state of the road.
The county council referred the letter to one of their representatives in Blackburn and the repairs were completed within a few days, full marks to them.
As far as I am aware, those repairs are standing up very well to the punishment they get from modern day traffic.
ROY MARTIN, Kemp Court, Whalley New Road, Blackburn.
