REGARDING the article on Blackburn's new orbital route, the comment was made that "only the spire tower of St Peter's Church, built in 1820 remains."
This spire is nothing to do with St Peter's Church, it is the spire of Chapel Street Congregational Church.
I have a picture of a rainbow that I took over Blackburn in 1975 and you can see St Peter's Church in the light of the rainbow, which was in the middle of the graveyard that the article is referring to.
