I’M writing this to thank all bin men, back wagon men and especially Councillor Roy Davies for all their hard work and perseverance in clearing the backlog of rubbish in the Sudellside/Olive Lane areas of Darwen.
I watched on the Wednesday and saw Roy walk up and down every back alley from Newton Street to Sarah Street, bringing bins, sacks of rubbish and litter down to Industry Street ready for the wagons to pick them up.
Then, when the wagons arrived, he helped throw all the bags and litter on to the back wagon.
The area is now back to normal and is a credit to all the hard work of the above people and they all deserve praise from all the people of this area.
Roy has certainly shown up the rest of the councillors in this constituency.
Good one, Roy.
You’ve always had my vote and will most certainly retain it.
You have my utmost respect.
P GARSDEN, Sarah Street, Darwen.
