I have received a circular from the council regarding a change in the days of collection of refuse/recycling bins.
There has been a change of collection day from Monday to Wednesday for my burgundy and grey bins. A later paragraph in the circular states that I will be notified later if the day of the collection of my brown bin is changing.
On ringing the council I was told that it is quite possible that the brown bin could be collected on a different day.
Whilst I defend the right of the council to collect the bins on any day they wish, having different days will lead to confusion for many people who for different reasons may well forget to put the bins out on the correct day.
It is stated that the council can fine residents for putting the bins out on the wrong day, so why is it necessary to add to the confusion?
