In response to Mr Eke’s letter (Farce over collecting child’s gift, June 23) rules and protocol are in place to ensure our job is done properly and to a secure standard.
I can understand your thoughts but postal workers have to adhere to theri code of conduct.
At present working in a sorting/delivery office is difficult enough with the proespect of privatisation, potential job losses and a regime seemingly hell bent on the destruction of a GREAT public service.
Comments like yours demean the professionalism shown by ordinary people who sweat blood and tears for the Royal Mail.
The member of staff in question was simply doing their job. Would it have satisfied you if thie person had been warned for the manner in which they did their job? I think not.
Sometimes frusttration gets the better of all of us, so the next time you feel as though you have to speak out, have a though as to whether the person in question deserves the comments on their character.
