SO, Carol Smith (LT, June 15) thinks that the people of Burnley should be ashamed of themselves for voting in the BNP.
Who, Carol, would you suggest that they voted for?
The two main parties have being showing their contempt for the people of this country for decades, by not listening to the electorate and handsomely rewarding themselves for their deafness.
The people of Burnley placed their votes where they would be noticed and hopefully show the the two main parties how they felt.
Most of the people who voted are not racist, they are sick and fed up of going unnoticed and I’m afraid that it has happened yet again, as none of the main parties has acknowledged that this protest vote was aimed at them. I am not a BNP supporter, nor did I vote for them, or the main parties, as is my choice.
Voting BNP was the choice of the people of Burnley, as is their right in this so-called democracy.
