I AM borrowing heavily from Emlyn Hughes in saying “Conservative magic, Independent (Francis Apaloo) tragic”.
I did not receive enough votes to propel me across the Channel to Brussels and for that I am particularly disappointed for my supporters.
Generosity, one of the virtues of British people, enlarges one’s horizon and one’s world.
The opposite which should be shunned creates a small world and stingy people.
My supporters, no doubt, shall work with all the elected candidates for the good of our society in the North West.
I am particularly grateful to my supporters for allowing me to taste this experience.
My thanks to the North West regional returning officer, Blackburn returning officer, and the ladies and gentlemen who gave up their time to man the polling booths in Blackburn and Darwen.
Thank you again. Hasta la vista.
Dr. Francis Apaloo Shear Bank Road, Blackburn.
