Regarding the story (LT, Nov 12) about the Accident and Emergency Department having to be shut down for three hours, I am sure I speak for all the people who use the Royal Blackburn Hospital in thanking all the staff from cleaners, porters, nursing staff and administrators to doctors for the effort that was put in over the period of time when the hospital was in crisis.
To me this demonstrates that when push comes to shove we can rely on all the people that work at the hospital to step forward rather then back when needed.
