Where were the English Heritage spokesman and Richard Prest when they knocked down the Blackburn Girls’ High School on Preston New Road? That was a building worth saving.
I am all in favour of keeping our heritage but the building at the bottom of Montague Street, Black-burn, is an eyesore and should have been knocked down after the fire in the late 80s/early 90s .
Why have they waited until now after if has been empty for so long? What are they going to do with it?
MRS M FAIRBROTHER, Colenso Road, Blackburn.
