IN REPLY to the Pastor Kevin Mills’ letter (LT, Oct 29) you come across as a fully paid-up member of the flat earth society.
We have names for people who have many beliefs for which there is no rational justification. When their beliefs are extremely common we call them religious, otherwise they are likely to be called mad, psychotic or delusional.
Why is God considered an explanation for anything? It’s not. It’s a failure to explain. If someone credits something to God it usually means they haven’t a clue.
Religious bigotry will be the end of mankind, not science. As a logical, free-thinking human, respect and knowing right and wrong comes natural to me. I do not need belief of continued fire and brimstone for all eternity rubbish.
MR DAVID BAKER
