ON a bus trip home from town (ticket £1.20) I gave the driver £2 and received 60p change (20p short).
The driver told me he had no change and would I go to the office for my change (not the first time I have had this problem).
If I had got on the bus to my journey, short of the fare and told the driver he would have to come to my office for the rest, would he have allowed me on? I think not.
