I NEVER thought that the Lancashire Telegraph would allow such low-down tricks as it did on October 14.
I take issue with the comment that the Darwen bus lane will go through by default because the council has spent (!) so much trying to push this £50million waste of money scheme through.
Who pays the bills? Not the LT or the council – us the taxpayers and the majority of them do not want it. Even the MORI poll can be read that way – for everything for, I can show another thing against.
Let the taxpayers vote on this matter like those in Manchester over the congestion charge, spend some money where it will count.
I am sure HM Government would question an eight minute saving of travel one way for the extortionate cost of £50 million.
