AS A self-employed person I determine my own fees. Of course if I get too greedy my customers would vote with their feet. At a time when pay deals for various sectors are being cut to the bone, MPs still feel that they can ask the public to do as they say, not as they do.
Let's look at the facts.
Whilst Gordon has been busy decimating the pensions of millions, they have the most generous pension scheme known to mankind. The expenses they claim dwarf their already generous salaries and are beyond the comprehension of us all.
Still they feel that they have the right to vote on their own pay deal without fear of repercussion.
Not so. MPs should think ahead and realise that their future prosperity is in the hands of the voter. Prior to the next General Election simply print a list showing how East Lancashire MPs voted on the issue.
The electorate will then have the opportunity to decide who is worth their place on the gravy train.
